The Future
Demand for broadband internet has been very high and we are constantly having to upgrade to meet demand.
Broadband works out much cheaper than dial-up for the majority of customers. This has obvious implications for the profitability of our Internet Services, and we have to establish a much larger base of broadband customers before we can afford improvements to the service we offer.
Once we have sufficient customers, you should see the following improvements:
* More consistent quality of service.
* Greater availability due to installation of a second satellite link (now done).
* Improved response times.
* Higher speed plans, especially SOHO grade.
We are working on an initiative to provide high speed local links using ADSL technology. This will allow businesses and individuals to link together at low cost and high speed.
We can provide co-location services for servers at our facilities in Honiara.
